From the New Partnership For Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Secretariat where she worked for eight years as Head of Conferencing, Patricia joined the Southern Africa Resource Watch in 2010 as Programme Officer based in the DRC. She studied Linguistics from the Institut Supérieur Pédagogique (ISP) of Lubumbashi. She also holds a degree in Business Management from the University of South Africa and a diploma in translation and interpretation from Damelin South Africa.
Patricia is passionate about Africa and its people and has enjoyed working for many years on projects and programs that benefit African populations directly such as NEPAD and Open Society Initiatives For Southern Africa (Osisa).
Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, she has a good knowledge of many African countries and understands the mentalities, customs and culture of the African people. A wife and mother of two, she does intensive work with women and young girls, from the promotion of women’s rights to enhancing and encouraging African women’s participation in the governance of natural resources.
