We are excited to announce the newest member of our Board, Monica Massamba.
Monica Massamba is a Regional Youth & Campus Organizer for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), a nonprofit provider of reproductive health care. Monica spends her time traveling through the Southeast US, training students on how to build power and effect change on their college campuses. Prior to her work at PPFA, she worked on a number of electoral campaigns, including the 2016 and 2012 presidential elections, organizing college students and instilling in them the importance of civic participation. Monica graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.A in Political Science and will be seeking a Masters in Public Administration. She was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and immigrated to the US at the age of 4.
Monica has committed her work to empowering you, especially young people of color and training them on how to effect change in their communities. She is looking forward to joining the board and helping to grow a strong program at FLOCA.
